YOUTH FORUM

The Music From People City Youth Forum is a one day event presented by Myseum of Toronto in collaboration with the Royal Bank of Canada that will give young Torontonians (ages 18-30) a chance to connect with music industry professionals, their peers, and leaders of the financial world to learn about opportunities in Toronto’s music industry.

The event will consist of workshops and a panel discussion with a networking event to follow. Throughout the day our panelists and participants will offer insight into the wide range careers available in music from promotion to managament to artist development and more.

A great opportunity for aspiring young artists and professionals to meet and learn from a range of industry leaders such as:

  • Divine Brown, Juno Award winning R&B artist
  • Dalton Higgins, Publicist, strategist, and author
  • Josephine Cruz (Jayemkayem), DJ, writer for Hypebeast and Complex Magazine
  • Jake Gold, Canadian Idol Judge and CEO of The Management Trust
  • Roderick Brereton, Juno Award winning producer
  • Marina Adams, Manager of Ontario Music Office at the Ontario Media Development Corporation
  • Sergio Elmir, Booker, promoter, and DJ
  • Matt Smallwood, Founder of Flying Colours Music Distribution
  • Samantha O’Connor, A&R for New Gen records
  • Dreyuh Safo, Rap Season promotions
  • Erin Lowers, Exclaim! Magazine
