Shashann Miguel-Tash (Indiigo Cocoa) is a Toronto born and raised emerging artist that creates anything from small crafts to large scale paintings experimenting with many types of mediums. She is mostly a self-taught artist who works within many communities as an arts educator throughout the GTA leading and assisting in art programs. Shashann currently attends OCAD University and is a student in their Drawing and Painting program. Her work is heavily influenced and inspired by her personal experiences, the richness of black culture, Toronto, social issues, music and her environment. Shashann often switches between doing face/ body painting for birthday parties and events, customizing pregnancy casts, commissioning paintings and pretty much anything creative.
