Tours of Dressing Toronto

A tour of the history of Toronto fashion over the past 150 years.

Fashion History Museum director/curator Jonathan Walford will be giving tours of the Dressing Toronto exhibit on Friday, November 9 & 23. Join Jonathan as he explains the history of Toronto fashion over the past 150 years.

As one of Canada’s largest cities, Toronto has been a centre of fashion design, production, and marketing. Many of Canada’s leading brands and retailers originated and were headquartered here, and wave after wave of new Canadians have worked in the industry in some capacity. Although under threat from cheap off-shore manufacturing and mega-national corporate retailers, a unique Toronto fashion scene is still surviving.
