Native to the Indian subcontinent, jackfruit is actually the world’s largest tree-grown fruit. Weighing up to 120 pounds and reaching nearly a metre in length, Jackfruit can serve several different culinary purposes. Its seeds, its flesh and its leaves are all edible and they are only eaten as is, but also incorporated into a number of sweet and savoury dishes.
