
Related to the dasheen, the eddoe is a relatively smaller vegetable first cultivated in China and and Japan but later grown in the West Indies. With a nuttier, arguably richer flavour than the conventional potato, eddoes can add much-needed personality to an otherwise bland chicken or pork dish.
