I have been making the most of the nice summer days, taking long walks along the lakeshore and drawing / painting Canada geese.
Rosalie Lam was born in Vietnam where she took classical drawing and painting lessons. In 1968, Lam immigrated to Canada to study and she graduated from McGill University in Architecture.
She also taken workshops at The Ottawa School of Arts, Haliburton School of Arts, Toronto School of Arts and George Brown College. She is an elected member of Ontario Society of Artists.
Lam now lives and draws / paints in Toronto. She was engaged in her grandchildren’s art education. For 6 years, she organized Drawing Club at the Withrow Public school. When the pandemic forced school lockdowns, Lam used Dropbox to share her drawing files with the school for children to draw at home. While respecting the social distancing requirements, Lam continues her art practice drawing Canada geese outdoor and does plein-air sketches with her grandson around Withrow Park.
