I’ve always appreciated how vast and soothing it was, but during quarantine I could regularly spend time to capture it with my brushes. Stopping to appreciate the sky became part of my daily schedule; though sometimes I’d see a particularly nice cloud and go run off in the middle of dinner. This piece collects 36 of the quick sky paintings I made between May and September in 2020.
ARTIST BIO
I am an illustrator, usually working with anthropomorphized food or in acrylic ink. I was born in Chengdu, Sichuan and grew up mostly in Toronto, Ontario. Sometimes when I feel like dancing, I put on tights, high heels, and a haunted potato costume to wander the streets of Toronto.
