ENVISIONING TORONTO

Own Your Cervix

Own Your Cervix uses porcupine quills, glass beads, damask patterns, and menstrual blood to consider how our bodies are defined physically and culturally. Viewers experience the gallery as a gendered and cultural space. Dion Fletcher invites a literal and metaphorical introspection by using the space to host public activities including cervical self-exams.

Accessibility consultancy for Myseum Intersections has been provided by Tangled Art + Disability.
