We tested our nostalgic knowledge with trivia about Degrassi through the decades, enjoyed our cash bar, and explore our exhibition space after hours!

90s Kids’ TV Trivia Night

We traveled back in time and tested our knowledge of all things 90s Kids’ TV at Myseum’s epic Trivia Night.

We tested our nostalgic knowledge with trivia about kids’ television from the 90s, enjoyed our cash bar, dressed up in our finest 90s-themed clothing – and had a totally tubular #ThrowbackThursday!

Junior High Rooftop Screening

We Celebrated summer in the city with this one-of-a-kind rooftop screening! We met Degrassi cast members and more.

Individuals brought their own picnic blanket and cozied up with their friends for this blast from the past.

We Met cast members Colleen Lam (Viviane Wong) and Tyson Talbot (Billy Martin) before watching episodes of Toronto’s iconic TV show under the stars! We screened two episodes of Degrassi Junior High (and a bonus episode of Degrassi Kids).

We heard unforgettable stories directly from a creator whose career shaped the industry! Lead by Nina Keogh (creator of Muffy Mouse and more).

We got an insider look at our latest exhibition. On this tour, famed puppeteer Nina Keogh (Muffy Mouse and more) guided us through 42 years of legendary Toronto kids’ TV and shared stories from her career.

MYSEUM MASTERCLASS:
Nina Keogh Teaches Puppetry for Television

We perfected the craft of puppetry for TV from industry icon Nina Keogh of Today’s Special, Bookmice, Polka Dot Door, and more.

We were the first and only to experience this one-of-a-kind puppetry workshop with Nina Keogh. We Joined the legendary creator and performer as she guided us through the essentials of puppeteering for television. We learned techniques, methods, and tricks of the trade.

Polka Dot Door Hosts Jim Codrington + Carrie Loring

We got a sneak peak behind the door of Polka Dot Door! We met two beloved hosts of the show and listened to stories from their careers.

We revisited the wonders of this cherished Toronto-made TV show with two of the program’s beloved hosts. Jim Condrington + Carrie Loring, journeying through their careers and history of Polka Dot Door.

During this talk, we heard stories, experiences, and inspiration from Codrington and Loring themselves.

The two hosts were interviewed by the curator of Mr. Dressup to Degrassi, Ed Conroy (Retrontario).

MYSEUM TALK:
PJ “Fresh” Phil + The Grogs

We got to know the stars of your 90s childhood! PJ “Fresh” Phil from YTV’s The Afterschool Zone talked about his work, experiences, and inspiration gained from working in Toronto’s legendary kids’ TV scene.

Phil Guerrero was interviewed by the Mr. Dressup to Degrassi Curator, Ed Conroy of Retrontario. Seating was first come, first serve.

We got an insider look at our latest exhibition. On this curator-led tour, Ed Conroy (Retrontario) guided individuals through 42 years of legendary Toronto kids’ TV.

Toronto etched itself into our collective consciousness with shows like Mr. Dressup, Today’s Special, The Friendly Giant, Polka Dot Door, Degrassi, and more! We Heard unforgettable stories directly from the passionate archivist who is preserving Toronto’s television heritage one show at a time.

MYSEUM TALK:
Legendary Puppeteers Nina Keogh + Bob Dermer

We got to know the brilliant minds behind our favourite Today’s Special puppets! The work of Nina Keogh (Muffy Mouse) and Bob Dermer (Sam Crenshaw) left a long-lasting impact on children’s television. During this talk, they shared their stories, experiences, and inspiration from their careers.

Nina and Bob were interviewed by Myseum’s Executive Director, Heidi Reitmaier. Seating was first come, first serve.
