Canada Day: An Indigenous Perspective

This Wigwam Chi-Chemung program gives context to Canada Day commemorations and share the story of the 1805 treaty between the Mississaugas of the Credit and the Settlers that resulted in a covenant between the European and the Anishinaabe nations. Elder Dr. Redbird also tells the story of the origin of the Seven Grandfather Teachings from the Seven Canopies of the Food Forest.
