Myseum is recruiting for a dynamic and up-and-coming Director of Development to build and
lead a robust fundraising strategy.

This is a big job in a small but growing organization. Ideal for a fundraising generalist who wants
to make an impact and is focused on smart work, outcomes, and deliverables.

This is a role for someone who is a builder. You will be building systems and relationships,
establishing a vision for fundraising and resource development and building buy-in from multiple
internal and external stakeholders. You are committed to relationships and to the idea of
inventing new opportunities in an experimental and evolving organization. You see solutions to
complex and dynamic problems and know how to take the steps necessary to fix them. You hit
the ground running but know that meaningful change takes time and patience, so you see quick
wins as part of the bigger, long-term goals.

We are looking for someone who is energetic, entrepreneurial and optimistic with a can-do


Myseum has a new and exciting fundraising plan that is ready for someone to breath life and
energy into it. Areas of fundraising activity include:

  • Create a maintain an active patron’s circle, including hosting small cultivation events,
    making asks, managing relationships and stewardship
  • Build and manage a major gifts and family foundation program, including identifying,
    cultivating, soliciting and stewarding major gift donors
  • Establish a broad-based giving program, including direct appeal and on-site giving
  • Secure corporate sponsorships, including identifying sponsorship properties, managing
    relationships, soliciting support, and managing fulfillment and reporting
  • Research and write grant applications and manage a grant portfolio
  • Mobilizing the board and volunteers to support fundraising
  • Managing fundraising systems, including a database
  • Working collaboratively with programming and marketing staff
