Exploring the Imagery on Wigwam Chi-Chemung with Elder Duke Redbird

In 2019 Elder Duke Redbird purchased a houseboat and transformed it into a floating art installation called the Wigwam-Chi Chemung. The Wigwam Chi-Chemung became a ‘canvas’ painted and outfitted with a series of Indigenous themes and murals. The work was carried out by a group of artists including Elder Redbird, Phil Cote, and Myseum volunteers.

In this video Elder Duke Redibrd and Phil Cote talk about their artwork on the boat.
